All students at Azalea City Montessori are offered a variety of enrichment opportunities throughout the year. 

Enrichment opportunities are scheduled in nine week blocks, where students can learn and discover new and amazing things. Students can choose from a variety of after school activities offered each quarter. 

Types or enrichment opportunities offered are based on student interest and can change every quarter. Student clubs and organizations are fee based and dependent on the number of students interested. Types of enrichment opportunities students can expect to see offered are below. 

  • Cooking Club

    Students are taught the basics of cooking such as proper measurement, reading and following directions, and making sure you have the right ingredients. Students can expect to make items such as bread, cookies, salad, brownies, cup cakes, frosting, ect.

  • Robotics Club

    Students are taught the basics of building and using our mind storm robotics. A lot of science and math knowledge is used to create and use this technology.

  • Board Game Club

    Students get together and participate in playing co operative and competitive board games. Board games are voted on and chosen by the players involved. Board games such as Isle of Cats, Pandemic, Apples to Apples, Ghost Hunter Jr, Candy Land, and other games suitable for your child's age group.

  • Sports Camps

    Children are given the opportunity to participate in sports. Sports choices are decided by season and child interest. Sports include soccer, basketball, flag football, and ultimate frisbee. Other sports can be added, depending on space requirements and child interest.

  • Art Class

    Students are given direction and knowledge about drawing, coloring, watercolors, oil pastels, and more.

  • Wacky Science

    Students will have the opportunity to engage in messy, fun, exploding science. Students will participate in age appropriate science experiments and even create their own science projects. Experiments can include elephant toothpaste, playing with oobleck, making slime, catapult experiments, and more!

  • Outdoor Club

    Students will have the opportunity to explore the outside and learn about survival. Students will learn how to identify different plants and bugs, read a compass, build simple structures, and more.

  • Music Lessons

    Students are given the opportunity to learn to play an instrument. Azalea City Montessori has a piano on site for student use. Piano, guitar , and ukulele lessons have been given in the past.
